After spending the first 12 years of my career doing commercial and editorial food photography, I decided I wanted to branch out and expand my horizons. It became clear to me that computers were just about to upset the apple cart in a big way, and boy, did they ever.

The computer revolution led me to high-end computer retouching, video special effects, and ultimately to my role as Pro Photography Evangelist at Adobe Systems supporting digital photographers. Along the way I taught workshops, created videos and tutorials, and even fulfilled my lifelong dream of working with many of the top photography gurus who had inspired me to become a photographer in the first place.

Bacchus Editorial is a place for me to gather and share ideas in ways that combine many different types of media. Yes, the content is mostly focused on my other passion—food and wine, which completes the circle. I write and illustrate magazine articles, I script, shoot, edit and produce videos, video tutorials, and podcasts, on food, photography and the sphere surrounding their intersection.
